Handling a 2 years old kid...

my son is now 2 years of age....  he just turned 2 last month...
he started to walk at the age of 9 months....
by his first birthday... he can already climb the grill gate of my house door...
running around the house.....and creating a war zone for his parents....
yet... till now... he's still unable to utter a complete word properly....

his cousins at the same age already can count up to ten and can call each member of the family by nick names...
i was .. at first a bit disturbed by this.. same goes  with my hubby...

so my search through the net started.... browsing here and there...
asking from friends and relatives on how their child develops..
i think any other parents would do the same.... especially if the kid is their first child....

i even went to a peadiactric for check ups...
but i guess i'm as any mother....
typical cautious towards their child..

it's actually normal for a 2 year old not able to talk with a complete sentence.. let it be that his cousins are able to speak fluently.. it's just during this time... the kids brain development is toward his  'Psychomotor learning'...
i guess that's why my son is able to start walking at an early stage.... whereas his cousin started walking only at the age of 1 year plus....
so i guess this is God's give and take....
you can't be perfect ..... there will be flaws here and there.... that's the beauty of mankind...

OK... since my son is soooooo active.....
he's does not have the hyper active condition... yes i've checked this too.... (curious mom)
but ... i don't know where he get so much energy to move about...play... create a tantrum.... making a 'war zone' again... bla..bla..bla..

How to Handle the Active 2 Years Old....
just let them be...................
that's the only solution....
scoulding them for being active will not help.... that will seems like your giving a massage that active is bad...
unless of course if they create tantrums.... then the normal procedure of 'timeout' and explanations and withdraw them from the area applies..

(ok.. i do get over board sometimes.... a bit of shouting here and there...who doesn't.... were only human... your kid will understand....)

To help with my understanding of childhood developments....i read this link a lot...... maybe you can too....
